I just got a new CTX100 system installed and we have DKT3020's for the most part. In a louder environment where a few of the phones are, the mic is so sensitive that it picks up all the background noise and it is hard for us to hear eachother let alone the customers here us when they call. Is there a way to lower the mic at all? Also when you pick up the phone and just speak into it you can hear yourself in your ear through the phone. That is how strong it is.

Thanks

Program 107, 108 and 114 address the PAD Tables. Your installer can set these parameters for you.

You can change the mic sensitivity from normal to low on a 3000 series phone:
1. Press 3+6+9+Hold simultaneously
2. Press 0
3. Press FB 3. (As a reference, FB 1 is your intercom button. Go up 2 buttons from there.) LED on means low sensitivity . LED off means normal sensitivity.
4. Press Hold to save.
5. Lift and replace handset to exit programming.

I didn't have my installer do the tables yet but I did try the other extension. I think it actually raises the handset speaker volume though because the phones that I did it on make the caller sound like they are yelling at you. Does anyone else know anymore little tweaks like that, that may have to do with the mic and speak volume.

Thanks Again

it sounds like the ambient noise is too high for speakerphone operation. you might try some cordless application. i,m not sure who has the trick equip these days. i used use plantronics.

I do not think it is that because it is even horrible with the handset. But thanks for the try.
