Hi All, Looks like a good forum hope someone can help.

I have been maintaining our system and successfully added 20 DDI numbers and got them to ring the correct extensions. Self educated from our System Record Sheet v4 (no program manual) and userguides and admin guide. Used Program *09, 16, 40, 71,72,73,75

Setup is:
RCTU/B - main board 000-079 ports/stations/extensions
2 x PDKU - 8 digital ports
1 x RSTU - 8 analoge ports
1 x RDAU - DASSII 30 channel (older version of ISDN30 connection)
1 x RSBU - 2 CCT ISDN2 4 ports/4 channels (used to be used for Internet connection not currently used).

Have 8 Channel DASSII, 1 main number, 1 fax number and a block of 20 DDI numbers. Fax# on channel 8, DDI 5-7, Main# 1-4.

Call forwarding external used to work (I think) as calls went to an answering service, since I added the extra DDI's the call forward to an external number only works if you dial the internal extension. If calling from an external number I hear one ring -> pick up noise -> slight pause -> a second ring little quieter -> then silence and 2 CO line Led's light. I read in a subnote CF external will only work when only one station set to ring so I changed 71,72,73 &75 so only ext200 rings for Main#. CF EXT still doesn't work, and I have double checked the ring programs twice and Group 000 is only lit for Port 000 (#402 on station 200 confirmed using port 000). Main# set with *09 to Group 000.

Hhhmm just tested ringing patterns and Main# still rings other extensions after 12 secs even though lights are all off??!!

Any ideas on what to try greatly appreciated.

Todd

Have you tried prog 15 LED 5 set to on for your trunks? Program 17 LED 5 determines whether you will be routing DID calls using programs 71 and 72 or program *09. In programs 81-89 remove LEDs on all stations from your DID trunks.

Set already, double checked.

My system record book doesn't give any Led 5 only 1 -4 (17 is Tie Line Options). *17 (DDI Intercept Port Number) is set to 000 for all. Did you mean 17 Led 5 or was it a typo?

Does channel = trunk = CO line? and thus this means for channels 5 - 7 all Led's off? But leave any channel 8 set to fax port, and channels 1 - 4 to any port?

Program 17 LED 5 is not a typo. That's how it works here in the states. I'm not sure if maybe your software is different in the UK. It may be in a different program number, but just look for anything that tells the DK that you will be routing DID calls using programs 71 and 72.
Yes, a trunk line is a CO line. And, yes, turn of LEDs 5-7 in programs 81-89 for ALL your port numbers.

Couldn't find any setting about using program 71, haven't tried changing anything more yet, my side project when not working on other things. Will update if I get anywhere.
