I'm new to this Strata 424 system with AMANDA VM.
One or more Single Line Telephones "ping" -- a short ring every second or less in sync with the clickety-clack of the relays in the auxiliary cabinet where there are four RST2U cards. Why are these phones doing this, and how do I make them stop?

I have one spare card -- RSTU3 -- is this a direct replacement for the RSTU2?

Thanks in advance.

The clickety-clack of the relays on the RSTU2 card is the message waiting indication. Its trying to light a msg light on the phone. Are there voicemail boxes associated with these phones? If yes, then check your messages. If no then disable the message waiting for these stations. That should solve your problem. To stop the clicking, go off-hook and dial #409 at each phone.

Yes the RSTU3 is a direct replacement for the RSTU2.
