Most of my customers run Avaya or Nortel systems but I have one customer running a CTX100 system. I recently purchased and installed a network interface card for the system (the original dealer did not install one). I have also found and installed the WinAdmin software (and all needed components) on a Windows XP Pro computer connected to the LAN (I wired the cabinet into the LAN temporarily for admin purposes). Now when I open the WinAdmin software (web page on the local system) it scrolls "CTX670" across the top and asks for a username, which I have figured out is "Administrator" but I have no idea what the correct password is. Can anyone tell me what the default password is, where I can find the CTX WinAdmin manual or even if I am going in the right direction? This started out as a simple project to take down a wireless extension and put a DKT3010-SD phone in its place and has proven to be quite the monumental feat. Any help would be appreciated.

Bryan</font> The zctx phone system should only be modified by a certified tech/authorized delear. It is a simple system but you can royally mess things up if you do not know what you are doing

Well, thanks for your reply and input. I am not sure what good it does 2 months later or without any advice, but thanks anyway. I agree with your comment that a certified technician should do the work on these phones, but I have to say that not everyone is a bumbling idiot who screws everything up that they touch and plenty of "certified" techs have less experience and/or common sense and/or technical savvy than myself. I had no problem at all understanding the underlying concepts and once I gained access to the "super-secret" inner workings of the system, it was no more difficult to configure than a Nortel MICS. I would hope that your future postings will be more helpful and less "I told you so" as bulletin boards like this were made for users to help each other, not pass judgement on who should or should not be doing what in the IT field. Thanks again for your input!

I just noticed this post----but I'm wondering why you didn't fill out your profile back in February so that all of the Toshiba techs could send you some e-mails with some help? Light a candle rather than curse the darkness. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif)

Bryan Sorry for the dug up post. We have this alot with new members. And as mods we ask that profiles be completed and as Dan had already ask no need for others to chime in. Happy you did figure out your issue. Also passwords are never given out over the open forum as a form of security for all end users. ------------------ ssimpson@oneringtelecom.com Need a Telrad Programmer Kit? Telrad Programmer Kits

Give me a break. I get this same elitists attitude from our PS provider as if the fact I've been an IT Administrator and software developer for 15 years doesn't qualify me to tweak my own phone system. I don't buy it, this is a control and money issue. Everytime we want to alter a workstation, we have to pay our PS provider $75 to login over the phone for about 30 seconds.
I had to take matters in my own hands after we had our system installed, and I'm happy to say that I haven't blown up the system, and in fact we've made several changes over the last 14 months. We managed to find ONE compassionate provider who was kind enough to send us the CTX WinAdmin CD that we SHOULD have received from OUR provider.
The information that he requested that is, incidently, openly available on the Internet (guess you can't protect us from the big-bad "net") is:
Username: Administrator Password: xxxxxxxx
