I have a customer with two systems, one is a 424 v3 and the other is a 280 v3. I've put 2 adtran tsu120e's on each end to connect there p2p t1 circuit. the first 8 channels of the t1 are programmed for the phone system and the rest are for there data network. I setup the two cards in each system to be a 8 channel t1 card and setup the programming in *41-0,-1,-2 and *42. The 424 system is setup with a 200 series of extentions, and the 280 has the 300. If i select a t1 trunk on the 424 system I can make a call over the t1 link to the 280 and speak and hear the other party fine, if i try the same on the 280 i get nothing, the number just displays in the screen? Any suggestions?

Not too familiar with T1 on a DK, but it seems like the 424 is programmed right, check the outgoing line group and 200 series ext. programming on the 280.
Any DK pros around? Voyager? SS? Anyone?

Try removing the Adtran from the equation and plug the T1 directly into the DK. Also, did you specify one as a master and the other as a slave in the clocking?

I removed the adtran and plugged straight into the jack and have the same issue, yes i have the 424 as master and the 280 as slave. Since i am able to communicate from the 424 to the 280 with a two-way conversation, it seems like it would be a numbering issue on the 280?

What slot do you have the RDTU in on the 280? Are both DKs programmed for Tie Wink for the T1 channels? And program 17 LED 2 on for all the T1 channels? I'll email you something on this.

I would agree with phonemeister make sure your systems are programmed the same for Tie Wink, I would also be careful not to focus completely on the 280, when you activate a T-1 line via the Tie Trunks on the 424 you are actually getting dial tone from the 280 and completing a call; it is the reverse you are having the problem with. Since you have access to Toshibas tech support I will give you a tip we have found effective, we never tell them wheter it is a 280 or 424 rather we focus on the software level of the system ie: a 280 cabinet with 4.3 software is a 424 system Good luck

i have the t1 card in slot 2-1 in the 280. Thanks for the reference guide on the t1 programming, that cuts straight to the point! I will make note not to inform tosh tech support on the system type, but just the release. Thanks for the info
