On a toshiba dk280, Msg button constantly blinks. Click button and it dials another extension instead of going into vm. Before today, msg button would dial into vm. If there is a vm it does successfuly dial vm. But if there is no vm it dials another phone extension. How do I get the phone's msg button to not dial the other extension and to stop blinking when there is no new vm? I would appreciate greatly any advice. I am a newbie to the whole phone support thing so please spell it out a little for me. Much obliged.

You have activated the call back feature. To clear the message light, you can do one of two things. One, dial #409 from the phone that has the blinking message light. Or two, when you press the message light and it calls the other phone, pick up the handset on the called phone and then hang up.
