Hello,
I got a call from a guy who found a 16e and an Octel in his new suite. The reception phone will lamp on and off with new messages, but will not retrieve messages by pressing the msg key. Other phones don't do squat. My guess is the is the 565 and 657 codes need to be reinput. Any idea what they are for an octel?
thanks

Only a guess
Try 656* ext number of set -rdl -spkr
657 # ext number of set -rdl -spkr

or 656 * 91- ext number of set -rdl -spkr
657 # 92- same

maybe someone will pipe in later and comfirm
or give exact answer

Ken, you are right. But on the 16e they started with the '#'. So try.....

Int. #656 * [extn] redial

Int. #657 # [extn] redial

the #656 code sends the extension number to the VM on a Forwarded call, and the #657 code sends the extension number when the msg button is pressed.

Each voicemail manufacturer uses a different dtmf in-band code. In my example I used a *. Toshiba Stratagy uses #656 91 and #656 92. Check with OCTEL for their code.
