Hello All:

I recorded a busy-greeting ("I am on another line now yadda yadda..") and selected custom busy-greeting during the setup. However, when I tried calling my phone (which was busy) I kept getting the Greeting#1 I recorded earlier instead of the busy-greeting. It seems straightforward. Did I miss anything? I have set CF-Busy to the VM. Phone system is ctx-670, iES32 VM and my set is DKT 3020-SD. Thanks in advance.

SSPhone:

I first called the phone next door and while talking with my colleague, I used my cellphone to call my DID number.

I'm not a guru on inskin Toshiba but I duff around with it.

Did you listen to the prompts all the way through after recording the greeting? For instance the Amanda (which like Macrotel and the old, old Stratagy all came from the same original source) has you record whatever greeting you want and plays it back and you think all is well and hang up.

But aahhhhhh, if you don't listen all the way, and don't press 9 (the last option) to save it and just hang up, guess what, you have not changed anything.

First, I would go and try to listen to the busy greeting. If you don't hear what you new greeting is supposed to be, you probably didn't save it.

If you can get to the busy greeting, try listening for what greeting can be selected, it may give you the ability to record a custom greeting and you didn't select it to play, just recorded it.

My best diagnosic tool is to listen carefully to the prompts all the way through and then make a selection, not jump the gun because I ASSUMED I didn't need to listen because I was in a hurry to have it done.

You always have time to fix it if you don't have time to listen all the way through the first time.

Try having Stratagy perform a supervised transfer.
Also make sure the 'Busy Detect Enable' box is checkmarked in your mailbox.

I did go again through the whole process as Bunnie-man suggested making sure the recording was saved. Even tried selecting the system's busy greeting but was unable to invoke it when calling my busy phone.

I also checked and the busy detect enabled is indeed enabled as Phonemeister suggested. I would appreciate if you could give me more on how to make Stratagy perform a supervised transfer.

thanks all

Look at the extension field in your mailbox using Stratagy Admin. If there's an H after the extension, remove the H and click OK.

Slight Correction: Bunnie girl, Bunnie chick, Bunnie Dyke or even Bunnie bitch if I have been bad is acceptable. Please, no Bunnie-man, I sit to take care of business. Thank you.

You will not get your busy greeting on a DID call as the DID is ringing you phone and forwarding with no answer not busy. If Stratagy answers the call (auto Attendent) someone dials you ext then the Stratagy will look to see if your busy and play the busy greeting. But DID's are sent to you PDN or PhDN and will ring override you phone.
