We have installed a used Strada DK-16 with one 2020-SD 20 button terminal and six 2010-SD ten button terminals. The 2020-SD works ok when plugged into any station port but none of the 2010-SD will work on their handsets. They all will work in speakerphone mode ok. All terminals are wired with one pair as shown on 8-31 of the manual. We entered the program mode with the 2020 terminal and ran program 98 to reset the system. No change. We have no experiance with the Toshiba system, just a .PDF manual to follow. Ron

I think Martin wanted you to look in program 39 but you could just punch the buttons on the phones.
To bring it to default, you run 91-9, 90, 91-1, 91-2, and 92.
Do you have the memory battery turned on? A tiny jumper sets the the ON and the middle position very near the silver coin size battery on the mother board near the bottom.

My c.o. lines appear on buttons 2,3 and 4 above the intercom button which is on 1, the bottom button.
I will look in program 39 tomorrow.
For default are you saying that we should run programs 90, 91 and 92?
Will look for jumper sets near button battery. Why does the 2020 terminal work ok anywhere? Ron

Correct, to bring it to default, run 90 through 92, they should be prior to program 00 in your book or CD.
Do all sections as listed above in that order.
If defaulting does not clear the problem you have defective phones. Easy!
Why on the 2020? We could tell you but then we would have to kill you. Play it safe and default it. <grin> OK, I have no idea why a 2020 would work fine but not a 2010 that is why we are doing a default to eliminate any possibility of funky stuff in memory. (Funky is a specialized telecommunications term, don't ask.)

My guess is Hook Switch also. No need to default the system just move the 2020 to the 2010 ports and test. But I am sure its the hook switch. Look in the equipment repair forum Paul144 is a quailty repair company he can have your phones good as new no better than new with the new hookswitch.

You have bad hookswitches. there is no doubt whatsoever. This is one reason why it is always worth it to buy DKT2xxx phones from a reliable source and spend the extra dollars. If you get them on E-Bay, 75-90% of the hookswitches will be bad out of the box, the rest will fail within a year. Cheap refurb houses clean them up and ship them out. Heck, even some of the pricier places do. I find it unforgivable that they do not replace every single hookswitch before they sell them. We actually re-engineered (having an in-house electrical engineer is a great thing) the hookswitch circuit path and the hookswitch itself to make them last longer. As far as I know, we are the only repair company in the US oferring a lifetime warranty on the hookswitch.
