The old EKT systems are not caller ID capable.

Best 3 solutions: 1. I know you've heard it before, but "new system". 2. Replace KSU with a DK or CTX, connect existing phones to a PEKU. DK & CTX are caller-id capable, EKT phones will display whatever the KSU sends them (I think). 3. Caller-id box for each line at each phone.

Think about how many phones you have.
The DK40 CID base cabinet cards have been discontinued and are expensive if you can find a used one.
There does not seem to be a big supply of RCIU/RCIS caller id cards that would go into a DK40 expansion and they are not cheap.
How big is this system, lines and phones?

I know how big an Se is, what I meant to say is how many phones would you have to replace?
I wish there was a button to go back and edit your posts.

There is. It's the one with a pencil and paper just above your post.
Administrators - Can you change the icons from pictures to words? It is a bit confusing.

I'm not up on all the lingo but I think the Se we use is a 3x8 (3 outside lines to 8 stations). Most of our stations are EKT-6510's (some with speakerphone), but a few are the older 6010's.
I believe the display model available is the EKT-6520SD. They are going pretty cheap on ebay, so
I was hoping maybe we would get lucky with the Se handling the caller ID.

Sorry, I think that system was designed years before caller id was even thought about.

Do you have any money? You could sell what you have for a few (very few) bucks on eBay and buy a new CTX-28.
The little 3x8 packages is cheap, comes with CID and you can plug in voicemail, now or later.
Talk to a couple Toshiba dealers, there is a very inexpensive CTX 28 package with phones and you will be set for another 20 years.

Wow, I wish I had understood what the icon was used for earlier. I could have corrected some of my dingy speling goofs.
