When you're talking on an outside line and you receive an intercom call how do you turn the ringing volume down on the intercom call. Can you turn it off completely or prgrm the system to block intercom calls when the phone is busy.
The system is a DK424 with a R4 processor and the phone is a 2020sd.
Thanks
JBW

While the second call is ringing, try holding the redial button down and then the volume down button. Youmay need to press both the redial and volume down at the same time. I know this works to turn down or off the ringing of second CO line, but I have never tried it on an intercom call.

Let me know how it works!

Amy's procedure is to turn off the muted ringing in the handset. You can dial #6101 to adjust the muted ring volume over the speaker. You can also change to voice first which will return a busy signal to the internal caller in program 10-1. If you have voicemail, you can use CFB or CFBNA.

Thanks
After playing with it a little I concluded that intercom #6101 would set the muted volume level, and that while holding the redial button down while the phone was ringing I could toggle back and forth between ringing on the speaker and receiver or just the speaker by momentarily pushing the up and down volume buttons and I could turn it off completely by turning on the DND button. I left the customer with that info.
Thanks Again
JBW
