Hi
Have tried using 75 and 87 to get line 1 which I set with program *09 to group 000 to ring extension 017. But it just keeps ringing the normal day pattern. I have reset extension 200 button to 439 and press it it lights but the ring pattern just keeps ringing the day pattern.
Any suggestion are very welcome??

Maybe your book is a bit different, but I don't have a program 75.
Button programmed to be 439 on ext. 200 is correct. If you have 10-2 LED 3 set to off, you should have only day and night ring.
If you have copper line CO ports, then KENB is 100% correct. Do you have copper lines or an E-1 circuit?
If you have an E-1 circuit you have to set the DID to ring in 71-0 and 71-2.

Thanks for the quick responses!
Setup of DK280 is: RCTU/B - main board 000-079 ports/stations/extensions 2 x PDKU - 8 digital ports 1 x RSTU - 8 analoge ports 1 x RDAU - DASSII 30 channel (older version of ISDN30 connection) 1 x RSBU - 2 CCT ISDN2 4 ports/4 channels (used to be used for Internet connection not currently used).
Have 8 Channel DASSII, 1 main number, 1 fax number and a block of 20 DDI numbers. Fax# on channel 8, DDI 5-7, Main# 1-4.
I am programming from System Record Sheets 280-SYST-RECORD (version 4) April 1997, unfortunatly I don't have the programming manual.
JeffG: There is no *73 in my manual :-(
Kenb: double checked 87 and made sure it was first LED.
The Bunnie: 10-2 Led 3 is off, pressing night button goes from off to on (doesn't flash indicating DAY2). Think it is a circuit of some sort, only know that our system has 1 x RDAU - DASSII 30 channel (older version of ISDN30 connection) and we use/pay for 8 channels. Don't have 71-0 or 71-2,
All: I do have: 1 - "Incoming DDI exchange Line station ringing assignments" programs 71 Day Immediate, 72 day 12sec, 73 day 24sec, 74 day2, 75 night. 2 - *09 "DDI digit translation (Groups 000-119)" where have to enter group number and what DDI is presented. This I have set Group 000 to 000 (this is because our phone number is 411000 and the last 3 digits are presented for the channel 1-4), set Group 001 to 001 (fax number is 411001 and presented on channel 8), set Group 010 - 029 to 7110-7129 (our 20 DDI presented as 4 digits on channels 5-7). I know this because the company who supplies us with channels and numbers told me this is how it is setup by them and that I needed to make our dk280 system respond to this setup. 3 - "Exchange line/station /auto attendandt &operator console ringing assignments" programs 81 - 89 which are 81, 82, 83 Day-Immed,12,24 and 84,85,86 Day2-Immed,12,24 and 87,88,89 Night-immed,12,24. These programs seem to implie I have to enter the port and then light the Trunk.
Am I correct in thinking trunk 1 is my channel 1 ect?
I am trying to get my main# 41100 (channels 1-4) to ring an analog extension (217) when in night mode so our main # can be diverted to a recorded message on an anwser machine. During Day mode it rings the currently programmed pattern of 200 12sec, then 202 and 205 another 12 secs, then all.
Should I use the Exchange line ring (81-89) for channels/trunks 1-4 and 8 as they have single numbers (DDI's), and then use Incoming DDI Exchange line \ Groups (71-75,*09)for the DDI presented on channels 5-7?
Does Night (button set to 439) affect both the DDI\Group method and the trunk method of assinging ring at the same time? (i.e. should 75 and 87 ring patterns both happen?)
Thanks for all you help. P.S. As soon as I am invited to an Elton due it will mean I have enough money to fly one of you guys over here in my private jet to sort our system out! ;-)

Not having the same manuals you do, I will make a best guess: We have a program 71. In 71-0 you set the last 3 digits of your 411000 (000) to a Bin number, say 000.
In 71-1 you assign the bin number (000) to ring at an extension or group or phantom in the daytime.
In 71-2 you assign the bin number (000) to ring at an extension or group or phantom in the day2 daytime.
In 71-3 you assign the bin number (000) to ring at an extension or group or phantom in the nighttime.
In 71-4 you assign the bin to ring voicemail.
In 71-5 you assing the bin a name "Incomming"
You should have a program that has these elements if not the same program number.
In your case you would assign bin 000 (whose number only by coincidence in this case is 000) to ring to port 017 in program 71-3, the night ringing program.
The night ringing button at 200 will change the ringing from 71-1 values to 71-3 values as there is only day and night ringing, not day2 ringing 71-2).
You were very good in supplying the information, not we have to see if this helps any.
