I have a customer that bought out a company that has a ust1016dk phone system. I have no manuals as of yet on this system. Can someone tell me how many lines and station the system will hold? Now they have 9 phones and 3 co lines. Can some type of voice mail be added to the system?

That is rebranded Toshiba Strata DK 16. You are going to need a manual for the 16 (NOT the 16e). It has a base capacity of 4x8. A KSTU card can be added to the base unit to add 4 s/l ports (for adding a voice mail, for instance).It can have an expansion cabinet added to increase capacity by 4 COs and 8 digital stations (or 8 s/l ports). The DK16 can use a DK16, DK16e, or DK40i expansion pack. Absolutely maxed out is 8 x 20 (although 4 ports must be s/l ports off of the KSTU in the base cabinet). There are 8 port single line cards for an external voice mail that can be installed in the expansion cabinet as well (instead of the digital station card). I do not recall if the 16 would support a stratagy DK "in skin" voice mail or if that came along with the 16e.

I happen to have a DK16 expansion cabinet in my basement. I am not sure what it is worth, but I could sell it.

The real reason I am on this board is that I have a question about my DK16. Is it possible to program a button on my 10 button phone to pick up a specific line and dial a specific number? Please explain how I would do this. I have done programming before, so I am basically familiar with the process.

Ringtone, you could program a one-touch speed dial and put #7+trunk number(3 digit I believe)+phone number in it.

I have the manual. I just needed assistance where to look.

Maybe I should explain why. I put this system in an apartment. The apartment building has an internal phone system for building functions. I figured it would be nice to program a button for the front desk.

The Toshiba system is my personal system, not the building's system. The building uses a standardized system that can take any standard phone, so I connected that internal line to my Toshiba phone system.

It sounds like from the last message that I could program one button to speed dial #7+002+ext.

It should be 447 since you can't program a # in the speed dial, or use 802 and put that trunk in pool group 02 in program 16.

Do you mean program number 447 and program number 802? I can look them up in my manual.

You can't use a pound in the speed dial sequence. You'll have to use 44 which the DK interprets as a pound. The 8 in 802 is the pool access code. If you put 802 in the speed dial sequence, you will grab pool group 02.
