I'd like to know if there is a way to fast forward directly to the end of a message. I have some users who record conversations (upto 20 mins long) and want to fast forward to the end of the message and work their way back. I know that # is the fast forward key and that it's adjustable, the defualt being 5 seconds - but this takes a lot of key presses to get through 20 minutes! 5 seconds on the # key also makes sense for day to day use - ie: jotting down a call back numer, so I don't want to change the default.

I don't know off the top of my head, but knowing what Stratagy you have would help a lot. There are towers, inskin hard drive, inskin flash, flash made by Dialogic, etc.

Researching one unit would be a whole lot easier.

While playing a message , you can press
4 pause/resume
8 turn up volume
0 turn down volume
* backup (rewind)
# go forward (advance)
## change speed (toggle)

this is for the Stratagy Flash, IVP8

I would suggest using UM if you have messages that are 20 minutes long. That way you can fast forward using the playback bar to whatever point in the message. In addition, you can edit out just the part you need in the conversation because it's a wave file.
