It sounded like he wasn't even able to log in with admin software.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but having the same problem. I have an older strategy VM system that you cannot put a GUI interface to. Can anyone help me figure out how to delete some VM's. Our box is probably full. Thanks a bunch.

if you have a ivp8 or flash you can remove the cf card and connect to a computer and delete the stratagy.log file, that should get you enough space to boot and have users delete messages ..

do you have instructions on how to do this??? I am more of a computer tech, and not a phone system tech. Don't have much experience with phone systems.

NVM. Pulled the card shows that there is spaced used (11mb free) but I can't see any files. Showed hidden files, tried used cmd prompt to view drive. using vista. Is there any way to remove all messages. Can I just format the card?? Can i replace with a larger card. Say 500mb or 1gb card. Thanks.

Formating the card is a great way to make sure it never boots up again! All the boot and program files are on that card too.
Not sure why you don't see any files, unless the card is corrupt. I would think 11mb free would be more then enough open space.
There is a max card size that the system can handle. I'm not sure what that is, but even if you could see thet files on the card, you can not simply copy them from one card to a newer one. It will not boot.

I kinda figured that if I format it would go south. Any other suggestions?
Are the messages stored on the card, or on the onboard memory somewhere? Is there a reset on the board that will set everything back. Kinda like a router??
The back of the Voicebrick has 2 serial ports. Can i connect a computer to that and do anything? ie software to control and reconfigure the stratagy via the port. Thanks in advance.

Bringing back a dead thread. The problem started again. The last time we had to call a tech to replace the whole unit. Does anyone have any suggestions? Getting camp-on when trying to dial VM, and I can't read the flash card. Windows can't find the driver, XP and Vista. I think our VM is full, and forgot to have employees delete their VM. Thanks in advance.

If you can't read the flash card, call the tech out again. But you probably voided the warranty by taking the flash card out.

The CF card runs ROMDOS and Windows will not see the partition. The partition you can see is the storage area not the OS.
Check mailbox 0 for lots of stored messages. with the right information you can rescue the voicemail using the information of Toshiba Tech Bulletin 5016 October 2001
