Every time we try to install a second T1 card into the T08 slot (Which is in the first expansion cabinet) we go to create a trunk and we get an error code that says the PCB is not installed. We know the NDTU card is good because we can use it in the T00 slot, and we know the T08 slot is good because we can hook other cards into it and they work. Is there anything special that we need to do add a second NDTU card to the Perception Ex?

Is this because we do not have a third cabinet installed? We only have the main cabinet and one expansion cabinet. The NDTU takes 8 trunk slots, we only have 4 without the third cabinet.

I have never installed a second NDTU in a Perception before, but my manual says to install in slot T08 of the first expansion cabinet as you have stated above. My manual says nothing about needing the third cabinet for this to work. At what point in programming do you get the error code?

When we use the DTRK program once we get to the POR setting we type in T081 and it gives us ERTRK 00 (A PCB is not equiped in that location)

Do you have the expansion cabinet enabled in DSYS?

What is in the second expansion and is there a card to the immediate right of the 2nd T-1? I'm certainly no guru on the Perception eX but everything else is a 16 time slot in the card slot and an 8 time slot on the immediate right card slot.

The Expansion is setup as follows, from left to right. And yes the expansion cabinet is enabled in DSYS.
T08 = NDTU (T1 Interface) T09 = nothing T10 = nothing T11 = nothing U23 = NEKU2 (Electronic Telephone Unit) U22 = NSTU2 (Standard Teletephone Unit) U21 = NSTU2 U20 = NSTU2 U19 = NSTU2 U18 = NSTU2 U17 = NEKU2 U16 = NEKU2

Did you set the switches on the NDTU card to match the type of circuit? If all are the same type circuit, you could see if it matches the settings in the first NDTU card. See S4 to S11 on the cards.
You have the card in the correct slot and three timeslots to the right.
You don't need the third cabinet.
Let us know about the card switches, OK?
