Have installed a DK 40 cabinet with
3010 SD new telephones, everything is fine until I try to program the speed dial buttons, (I know you can not use the speed dial button on the new telephones so I programmed 497 on button 10 of all the telephones. I go through the procedure at the individual telephones : Redial, speed button, bins 10-40, telephone number , redial . After each attempted programming attempt, it shows ERROR in the display and the number is not programmed. It does this on all telephones and I can not do the system wide numbers (bins 60-99)from station 10 either. It comes up with the same ERROR code. Have I pressed a wrong light in 10-1,2,3 or Program 30 or 31. I have done alot of these systems but have never seen this before.
Any suggestions before I initialize it and start over. ( I hate doing that )
PS I have tried it with a 2020SD telephone also and get the same results.
Thanks

DK16e and DK40 are the same for programming.

60 to 99 must be done at the phone wired to port 000. This could be 10 for two digits or 200 for three digits or it could be some other number programmedd in program 04.

If you type [Intercom] # 4 0 2 it should show you the physical and logical port in the display. You MUST be at port 000 to program 60-99.

Happy speed dialing and you should be able to program one of the 10 buttons at 000 to be 497 for speed dial and use it that way instead of * whatever.
