I recently bought a used dk424 base cabinet. Can a dk424 base cabinet be used as an expension cabinet to an existing dk280 base cabinet?

No, but I'll trade you one for one.
The base cabinet has the six connectors on the left for connecting to expansion cabinets, simply the answer is no.

I have a spare base cabinet without power supply. I need an expansion cabinet without power supply. Anyone willing to trade expansion cabinet with a base cabinet?
