How do you have 6XX programmed? Are you using LED CO2 or CO3? You should be able to use Class 1 and program the class in 1XY to allow the other toll free codes.

Correct prgm 1XY where X= Class 1-4 and Y=2 for allow, 3 for deny, and 4 for display.

Restriced phones are class 1, went into 113 & denied 000-999 then 112 to allow 800, 866, 877, & 888. 114 shows those 4 area codes as allowed, but the system only allows 800.

The 6e came in two flavors, HKSU 701 and HKSU 705, Release one and Release two. Which one do you have? The label is on the bottom of the ksu.

For following, bottom left LED is 00, top left LED is 09. Don't count buttons as 1, 2, 3 but 00, 01, 02, etc.

If HKSU 705, do you have LED 02 ON in program 100?

In program 113 deny should be 000 to 999.

In program 112 allow should be 800 and 888 and 877 and 866 and 855.

Everything but those 5 area codes are denied.

In Program 111, LED 00 should be lit. (This probably is the problem.)

That should be it. If not, then the hell with it, I'm human, its late at night and I'm out of Becks and therefore grumpy.

Junkman, Only the 800 will work, when this system was made it was not up to the NADP. It does not understand that a area code can have 2-9 as a 2nd digit. Bottem line it cant be done

Oh hell, almost foiled by the poppycock of outdated digit rules. Bunnie will shred this rule like a frog in a blender. (What is green and goes 200 miles an hour? Kermitt the frog in a blender.)

OK, if you have a a Strata 6e HKSU 705 (look on the bottom of the ksu) you go to program 6XX (6 plus the station number) and make sure LED 02 is off.

[This would let them dial 1010XXX and override toll restriction and get to expensive long distance calls.] You can do this, but don't, it is just an example of your ability to do it.

You can restrict the individual phones to no long distance, then put those 1800, 1888, 1877, 1866, 1855 codes in system speed dial and set system speed dial to override station restriction.

{Any question why they call me: THE Bunnie, old blond specialist in Rube Goldberg solutions.}

Thus slayeth the outdated digit rules by the long typing fingers of the Bunnie.

Did I ever tell you I can type better drunk than most people can sober? Its true.

Gotta cut down on the Becks, this is too much fun. I shouldn't have this much fun.

Update: screw the headache, restrict that ext. to line 4 and have the phone co. put toll restriction on that line. Customer is happy, boss is happy, I'd be happier if it was payday. :toothy:

Oh ye who won't have your outdated digit rules smote. This workaround that you so cruely discarded was working for years and years on an old 6, not evenn a 6e, so old that they had all 3102 phones that were brand new when they got the system.

Finally I sold them a voicemail and the 6 had to go. So sad to see you go old 6, but life is like that.

Just what is an average Joe? How tall is he? Good looking? Athletic? Able to last?
