I have a customer that has a DK40 that they want to add analog extensions to. I just want to make sure that I get the right parts since it's been a while since I've worked on one. Anyway...If I get them a KSTU2 to add the extensions, will I need to also get a K4RCU3?? Thanks!!

yes you will need the k4cu3 or a k5cu3, or the will have to dial pulse instead of tone

So...I just want to be sure, they already have some 2 analog extensions working with DTMF. Do the DTMF receivers have to be added for more??

Assuming they are getting their 2 current S/L extensions off of a KSTU, they should have 2 S/L ports left and they should be fine for DTMF.

4x8 as a basic unit. Then you can add in the KSTU for 4 S/L ports. You can also add on an expansion cabinet if you need more lines or stations.
Oops, to be truly correct, I should say that the 40 comes as an 0x8 as you technically have to install a 4 port CO board.

So...if they already have some analog extensions that they're using that means that they've already had a card installed? Does that mean that there can't be another one, or would they need an expansion on there to add more???
Sorry and thanks!!

Sorry and thanks!! They would need to add on an expansion cabinet and one of a few different cards to get more S/L ports. There is an 8 port s/l card or a couple of 2x4 optional cards. All of these would have to be in an expansion unit.
