Hi All,
I have a Stratagy 6 lite voicemail system for DK280 system bought from Authorized Toshiba Dealer. It has a voice board (half length) for 4 ports. The unit works fine with no problem. I recently got another voice board (full length) with 4 ports that was taken out from some other Stratagy system. The person I got from was pretty certain that it was from a Stratagy system. I got this as a spare because few years ago we lost the voice card due to lightening. When I replaced it with existing voice card I got the following error: Panic[rhet.c:87]: Board 1 is incompatible with STRATAGY6. Go back to setup for system re-configuration?[Y/N]? I didn't expect this message as the new card was used earlier by another Stratagy system. Is there a configuration setting that I need to do? I tried putting card in differet pci slot but the same message was shown. The voice board address is 300 as all other jumpers are connected except 8,9. Kindly let me know if you have any ideas.

Your original board is a Rhetorix board and the "new" one is a Dialogic board. Both are ISA cards and not PCI. You can't just swap out the Rhetorix with a Dialogic without adjusting the Stratagy software. Only release 3 software supports the Dialogic boards.

The new card that did not work says Rhetorex Inc. printed on the PCB and also on one of the big square chips. It also says RDSP, XT Version, Rev A1 printed on PCB.

Look close at the working Toshiba board the should be a chip mounted on it that has a paper label that is printed Toshiba on it. Then look at the other card bet you dont find it on that one. I found this out the hard way also. Even though its a Rhetorex card it's not a Toshiba modified card.

I apologize my ignorance. Are there any other manufacturers apart from Toshiba that use Stratagy software for voicemail system? The Stratagy version that I have for Toshiba card is "Stratagy6 V6.225/5.44 Voice Processing, TAIS Inc. Copyright 1994".
I guess I have to find another Toshiba 4 port voice card somewhere on ebay etc. unless someone on this forum have any used one at reasonable price. You may send me an email if you have.
Thanks all responding to my questions.

Closing this issue. It's obvious that card was not right. Thanks a lot Phonemeister and SSPhone for your replies.
