We just bought a used VoiceBrick and I have it hooked up to our DK40i. I put the 4 extensions that goto it in a DH and if I dial 850. I get the greeting.

Our phones are DKT2010-SD units. How do I get the system to output DTMF for these ports? If I hit * to initiate going to a box it just ignores me...

Am I doing this incorrectly?

Is there a speed dial * key on the sets ,usually top key or top right on a 20 button

Also just for jollies hit * # before you pick up
handset and try it.

No, all of the desi strips were missing when we got the phone system. It may have been re initialized. Line 1 is ICM then it goes in order CO 1 thru CO 12. It appears the only other programmed button is 19 which is DND.

We have been using the system in a real basic configuration until now. We want to integrate the voicemail.

*# did not seem to do anything.

Yes the receiver is in there. I am going to reconfigure the buttons later today. What does the speed dial do for me other than giving a single button to access the voicemail?

If you do not have a speed dial programmed on a flexible key then * becomes SD, Even though they are 10 button phones you can still program button 20 as a speed dial, this should fix the problem
