In the manual in the conventions section it shows a string of odd characters and says they represent keys on the phone. As an example, when I print out pg 3-174 at the top there is the field for entering program mode and then 6SNU --- and then +ROG. I know 6SNU and +ROG are SPKR and HOLD.
Where are these defined? I need to go into program 16(I think) and dump the unused CO's so my dial 9 works. If I dial 9 it grabs trk 12 which is not used.

The manual says to enter the last 2 digits of the co group or for Dial 9 group. Or what for dial 9 group.

It then says press 6FUROD to advance or 3 DJ H to go back.

TIA

where did you get the manual , I have never heard or seen anything like that. If all you need to do is edit your dial 9, enter program 16 , 00 for dial 9 , then light the lights for the co's you want to use for dial 9
{Get into sys prog}, 16 hold spkr, 00, light the lights for the co's, hold spkr,## hold spkr,## hold

Sounds like your PDF is corrupted - from your description, either a specific font is involved or bold characters, but I have no clue how to fix it.

FYI it should read "Press Scroll to advance or Page to go back." with Scroll and Page bolder than the rest.

Are you sure its 6FUROD and not 6FUROO? it looks like "6" should be "S", "R" should be "o", "O" should be "l" and "D" should be "a", etc.

You are correct, it is 6FUROO. I just downloaded the manual again and it is doing the same thing. On 3 different PC(s). Windows 2000 and Acrobat 5 (just the reader)
