I'm trying to set up qsig on a new node with LIPU, other nodes using BIPU-Q. The connection works, but there's no voice path. Cards are connected over VPN, all systems using version 3 or 4 software, BIPU to BIPU works fine. Any suggestions?

1. Is the qsig license entered?
2. Prog 150 FB17 enabled?
3. Is it an odd-numbered slot?
4. Upgrade the firmware of LIPU.

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. Without the LIPS, it can be placed in any slot.
4. It's got the latest, lipx37d.

Toshiba wasn't thinking when they decided to use L as the first letter of CIX cards, especially the subassembly for the LIPU.

My understanding is if you use it as a qsig networking it has to be in an odd-numbered slot. If used for IP phones or a MAS it can be in certain even-numbered slots except when an LIPS is used. In which case it has to be in certain odd-numbered slots. Have you checked the I&M manual about where you can place the LIPU? I always follow those rules in my LIPU installs without any problems. Btw, firmware 47 is the newest.

Tried moving it from slot 4 to slot 3 in a single-cabinet 100 with the same results. 37 was the latest I saw on FYI, I guess 47 is on FTP?

Yes, it's on the ftp. Try the upgrade because there's been a lot of fixes since 37.

I just noticed they put new software on FYI last night. I'll try it next week.
