All,

Have kind of an urgent need to understand something.

I have one extension (x235) on a DK96 that the CO Line will flash but not ring, I have used Program 81, 84 and 87 still no ring.

Assinged it with 39 and 40 - all seems okay

You can answer a call when the button flashes, other CO lines ring on the phone except this one CO.

This CO also rings on other phones just fine - what am i missing?

Thanks!

Lane com
If memory serves me right, only 8 phones can ring at once on a line. Try taking off the ring on that line from the other phones and see if it rings your x235.
Again, im guessing on this

OK, heres another one:

Have you tried to intercom to that extension? I am guessing that it could be programmed as a 20-button EKT while physically, the phone is a 10-Button EKT. So if the the intercom call to that extension produces a "Do not disturb" tone, that means Button #19 is a "Do not diturb" button and might have been activated by mistake.

If the tones are normal ringing tones, then I am at a loss. JeffG could be right but I have not tested that theory as most of my customers are DK8s, 16s and 280.

Looked into both of these solutions, neither one worked.
What i did notice while testing was that even though I took away CO access and flex ring - (prog 39 & 40) all other phones will show LINE 4 Ringing in the LCD display and even thoough they don't have a button for CO 4 they can pick up the handset/spkr and get the call??

How is this possible??

So perhaps JEFFG may be on to something with the 8 phones ringing??

No it is CO4 on button 5 - The first button is INT then the next 3 are speed dials on about 5 phones. Only one phone out of these 5 Rings when a call comes in on CO 4 - This CO is dedicated to this group of 5 people.

There are about 12 other phones that have CO 1-2-3 on buttons 1-2-3.

The five phones above DO NOT have CO buttons 1-2 or 3

When a call comes in on CO4 it flashes on the 5 above and rings on one - ALL PHONES will show LINE 4 Ringing on the LCD even those who do not have CO4 programmend on a button.

CO Lines 1-2-3 all ring on all of the other phones that have CO1 - 2 and 3 programmend buttons like normal, it is just this one CO that will only ring on 1 Phone.

Reviewing programming I even set up PGM 81, 84 and 87 to cover all immediate ring scenarios with no difference on the five subject phones - all of the five phones are on different port cards as well??

I am no Toshiba expert but this is just kind of strange - seems pretty staight forward to me but yet it is kicking my butt!

Thanks for the reply's.

First guess
In program 40 ,for the phones with lines 1-2-3
on them turn off led for line 4

for phones with line 4 only make sure led is on.

No insult intended but in programming mode the lines start at button 1 not as labeled on set
so co line 1 is labeled icm if your not using programming template.

Are 235 and its 4 other sister stations in a row ,like 231 thru 235

If not i would look @ prog 81 for 235 and make sure led 1 is lit.

Before that did you look at program 04
to make sure port 35 is in fact 235.

You didnt say if you were the original servicer
if your not theres a weird chance that numerically
the ports dont match the stations like 00=200
if they dont its a PIA

Also I wondered if co 4 for 235 was in a long delayed ring program like 83.

Maybe a Toshiba mod will have some suggestions.
