I know we all have a great love and respect for this board or we wouldn’t be moderators here. I just wanted to share with you how powerful this place is. I had a call from a bank that wanted to buy a Samsung system for a new branch office in my area. We corresponded via e-mail and telephone and came to terms on a new system. They sent me a check for almost $14,000 without ever meeting me, all because of my association with Sundance. We will start the install next month. We have a great place and a valuable tool in Tech-Talk. :thumb:

That is true Larry. Congratulations on that one. I've been getting quite a lot of business from being a member here as well. Many contacts don't even question pricing; they consider the fact that I'm a part of this forum as being good enough credentials.

This is how the forum is used to help ones advantage in this industry. I get so many pm's from people saying I thought being a member of this forum would help in their business and I reply it can if you use it at a tool..some just don't get it..oh well..the forum can't help em. The difference between a pro and a TS.

I had a similar experience at VoiceCon in orlando this past week. The southern regional sales manager at Digum (the creators of Asterisk) recognized me from my picture on this board. Also had the VP of strategic product marketing at Polycom ask me if I posted on some phone board online. The oddest part was a few people I bumped into in the crowd recognized me. Kind of scary. I guess the scarier part is that they just couldn't place me until I did the buddy jesus pose.  Nice to know that a couple of the manufacturer's (atleast the ones I deal with regularly) are paying attention to this board. Hopefully it will let them develop a better product.
