We have a PRI line. When we call someone it sends <company><phone number> info.
Can I block that. The infomation is sent from the phone company not from the phone system. That is, as far as I know I setup that info with the phone company not in the phone system. It is my understanding I can change/override the info that the phone comapny sends out by setting it in the phone system, but I've not done so....
Could I perhaps setup an extension that is programmed to send out different info?

If you have late 4.xx software, the system can send out calling party information. There are no circumstances I know of where you can purposefully defeat the switch CP info.

to modify your CLID you have to be a subscriber to call by call services. On Pri it has to display, it looks at the tables and if it doesn't see a valid entry it will display the dafault CPN. You can change the call back num,ber to a unprogrammed valid DID number, that on call back will produce a fast busy. Of course DID intercept has to be told to send a fast busy.

It has to be a VALID DID number. You can turn this CLID on,On each extension or just 1 or 2 extensions

What system are we discussing here? I assumed a 424/280, thus refering to 4.xx software.
I've not seen this possibility on a 424/280 but I'm open to learning. If you are talking about a CIX and he is talking about a 424/280 does this still work?

I neglected to subscribe to email notifications...
I have a CTX670 software ver. 3.x (3.1 I believe).
I'll look into it today and do some testing... I admit I didn't quite follow what was being said about things I could do to program the syste - the "subscribe to changeable CLID" makes sence and I don't think we have that.
