Have a DK280 with 24 stations and 12 CO lines and the customer needs to add 2 lines. System looks like this currently:
PDKU
PDKU
PDKU
RCOU/RCOS
RCOU
Vacant

When I install the RCOS to the RCOU, install an additional PDKU in the vacant slot and assign the slots, the lines that were working on the RCOU card no longer have dialtone, nor can I get them to ring. Manual says the system is capable of 16x32 out of the box. Is it wrong? Do I need to move cards around? I'm stumped.

Does the new RCOS match the RCOU? You can't mix RCOU1 with RCOS3 or the other way around, version numbers must match.

You should be able to add the RCOS & PDKU and run program 91-1 without disturbing any numbering.

In pgm 04 is the slot with the new rcos programmed as 11 or 17 . It should be a 17 .
You didnt address the PDKU but that should at
least be a 61.

Check your plugs going into rcou / s
on left now is 1-2/3-4
on right 5-6/7-8

And if the customer needs more than 16 CO Lines, its time to look at the Processor card, whether its a RCTUA or a RCTUB.

Had to recycle power. Should have done that in the first place. Thanks.
