With a client that just purchased an IVP8 via eBay. Of course, the default PW has been changed & the seller doesn't know it.... D'Oh!! Can anyone furnish me with a way to reset to factory default?
Thanks! -John

I could use some help too. The card that I got off eBay has the default user's password changed. I've tried dialing into the system to using the UAdmin21 and UAdmin20 software, but it fails on the handshake. Any ideas?

Handshake probs can sometimes be wrong baud rate. Older ones used 9600 baud.

If I use HyperTerminal to dial into the card, then it asks for a Password. The typical Toshiba password isn't working... so I'm looking for a way to purge out the databases and install a clean set.
Using a serial connection to port 1, I have access to the flash card. I tried unzipping the CleanDB.Zip file into both the C:\RCPT and the C:\RCPT\DAYOLDDB, but some automatic function keeps restoring the message prompts from D:\MESG when I reboot the card with the new databases.
I also cannot seem to get the UAdmin20/21 to talk to the card via the 2nd serial port, so I'm using the dial-up method to try.

Having the same trouble myself. My boss called an outside vendor to do some work on a system while I was out, seems like they felt the need to changed the admin password. Had a user try to log into the VM to change the time for DST, keeps saying the password is incorrect. I know it's worked in the past because I was the one who gave her the instructions last go round of DST and it worked then.
