I have a customer with a Toshiba Dk40i. It is configured with main cabinet (4X8 with 4 port analog card with DTMF receiver). Expansion cabinet is configured 1st slot KCDU 2nd slot PDKU 3rd slot RDSU c/w RSTS on RDSU. I have programmed Code 27 in program 03 for the RDSU in slot 17 of expansion cabinet. Am I missing something painfully obvious here, do I need to make any additional program changes or should I be looking at a card fault, and yes I do not have a spare one, What pairs should the analog ports be on the amphenol cable. (I have inherited this system and is on a patch panel.) Any suggestions would help Thanks

If I remember right, the RDSU is set to have teh dirst 4 ports a Digital and the last 2 as analog, the RSTS will give you 4 more digital ports and then 2 more analog ports. The other thing to verify is if you have the card in slot 17. In teh expansion cabinet, the bottom right is 15, the bottom left is 16, the top right is 18 and the top left is 17.
Hopefully it isn't too late and I haven't screwed this up!

I programmed and moved the card in both positions in the upper expansion cabinet. Did not make any difference. If I put my toner on the positions I think the ports should be it brings up a light. If I plug my toner on a digital port it does bring up a light on my toner. But if I plug in a telephone in that position, the telephone acts like the card slot is not programmed (ie, if you plug in a digital set on one of the digital ports if you press any buttons it beeps, but does not show any display or button activity)

It should wire out the same as any other card. It will start with the blue white and every other pair down the line for your eight ccts. You may have another problem that you may be over your port count. I think that the total port count is 28. You may have to remove the KSTU to make the RSTU work.

The analog's are on pins 1,2=slt#1 /5,6=slt#2 /9,10=slt#3 / 13,14=slt#4
the digital are on pins 17,18=digital /21,22=digital ,and so on.

Wayne is right, the digital ports on the RDSU put it over the limit of 28 ports.

What? There is no port limit on a DK40i that I have heard of. Over 32 on a CTX/CIX maybe but not a DK40i?

Bunnie,
I always thought the 40 stood for 28 port's and 12 co's . Please correct me if I'm wrong because this would be a good piece of information to know when troubleshooting wierd issues.
