I have a DK424 with a RCTUA r.3 processor and heres the problem.
When a call comes in, it says for example "Line 1 Ringing". Shouldn't it say who is calling with caller ID as it is ringing. It does say the calling party after you have answered it but the customer would like to see who it is calling so they can answer accordingly. I know that the caller ID is working for the reason I just mentioned. I also went to each phone and turned on "mode 61". I even tried to just dedicate line 4 to one phone to see if it would only work when ringing one phone and not multiple ringing destinations. Even when the call is ringing in I try to push the page button but nothing happens, actually nothing happens on any of the buttons while the call is ringing in . It just says "Line X Ringing". Any help will be much appreciated. If that is how the Toshiba R.3 processors work then I'll have to goto another solution.

how are the calls routed to the phones, do they come through the AA first, or do they ring straight to the phones

The first line of the display should show you the Alpha or numeric information sent by Caller ID from Bell. The second line should show you the " Line 1 ringing" and you should be able to hit the "Page" button under the display to toggle between the Alpha info and the numeric info prior to answering the call. I have tested this on a ver 3 software C/D processor.
Double check your programming of CLID and test with a display on the line directly. Is this happening on all the lines? Have you tired a different RCIU?

It is happening on all the lines. I checked the programming by the book. Have you had this problem before and has a new RCIU fixed it. I understand the troubleshooting thing and we're just trying to pin point something. Maybe the carrier isnt sending the right stuff. Maybe I'll take a single line phone with caller ID out there and hook it up to line 1 and test it that way.
Any other suggestions will be much appreciated.

The thing is the data is coming through because after the call is connected I can read the name of the calling party. I will still try the analog phone on line 1 to test it but it sounds like maybe aq release issue. Is all R3 processors capable of doing caller ID the correct way or is it maybe a later version 3 release. However I will also try a new card.
