Apparently since the DST changes our voicemail system will no longer put the correct timestamps on our voicemails. Support has dialed im multiple times to change the time and it always reverts back to being two hours off. Our vendor stated that this is a billable repair since it is a software patch from Toshiba that is required to fix the problem. Has anyone heard of this issue or an easier, nonbillable, way to fix it?
Thanks.

Which voicemail? If it is a Stratagy 4, 4 lite, 6, 6 lite, Flash or DK card I doubt there will be a software patch. Basiclly the way I have fixed this is to turn of DST in system config and tell my customers that 2 times a year you will have to set your time on the voicemail just like you have to do 2 times a year on the DK systems.

And you can typically change the time yourself without having your vendor dial in all the time. Until DST is turned off, you would have to change it 4 times a year, twice a year if DST is turned off (billable service I'm sure.

The patch can be loaded very easily in an hour and you will no longer need to change anything. It can be put on Flash's and DK's if they are at Release 3 software and is provided by Toshiba at no charge. If you have to pay a service charge to get the time changed you just as well upgrade the software. If your vendor set it once it should not revert back until the old DST time is a week or so. What voice mail are you using?

How does one determine the voicemail version? All I have from the vendoe is "iES32 Voicemail System"

The vendor has dialed in numerous times and the voicemail timestams are still off. I would prefer to disable DST and change it manually twice a year instead of paying someone to dial in to do it. If it is an easy fix can someone outline the procedure?
Thanks

The IES32 patch is a little tricky. If they dialed in and did the patch remotely you have to wait for Tuesday for the vm system to reset. If you are onsite you have to nt in an restart the vm. We had the same problem with a customer

You mean the dealer that installed it keeps charging you to dial into to change the time???

The DST update takes all of about 8 minutes or less if on site plugged directly into the VM.

You can also change the tiem via the admin mailbox. Do you have access to it?

Don't think you would be able to apply the patch remotely, since when you run the patch, it automatically ( and without warning) shuts down the Stratagy services and ports, including the one you dialed in onto. A reboot is then also required.

An alternate way is to use TZEDIT.EXE from microsoft. It will not require a reboot or shutting down the services. I have used this method also and seem to work fine.

You MUST (with both ways) uncheck, then check the box under Time Zones in Windows screen, the box the says use daylight savings time for this zone.

Disabling the DST has to be done by a Tech. Changing the time just requires you to log into the Admin voicemail box from any phone and manually changing it. The vendor should tell you how to log into the admin box.

Since the time for the original DST has now past, your time should either be correct(if it was wrong before) or now an hour fast.

TZEDIT has been applied and the timestamps are still incorrect.

The time change did take place and our voicemail timestams are still +3 hours off.

Log in to the Admin mailbox and change it from there.
