Hi guys, thanks for all the info about caller ID on PRI, hopefully you will be able to answer my question about the difference between and reasons for using 1) GCO keys 2) Pool line keys 3) Line keys on each extension We have 5 CO lines, and just use the line keys on each phone, is there an advantage to using GCO or Pool line, or is it mainly a button-saver? Thanks! :toothy:

Mostly just a button saver in my opinion. I personally like going the multiple DN route but in your case with just 5 CO's, line keys would work just fine.

It is my understanding that GCO keys are used in conjunction with PRI's. Line keys are fine up to 5 lines and sometimes even 6 so there are free buttons for other features etc. I typically use pool line leys for 6 or more lines. Usually you would decide this with the custoerm based on what other featues they need to have buttons for.
