How would I go about programming a pause button for use in speed dials, one touch, etc? CIX100 with emanager. I am trying to get a one touch programmed to pick up a phantomDN, dial voicemail system, pause, dial #key, pause, dial extension number, pause, dial security code, then dial 2, pause, 201, pause, dial 2.
How much, if any of that, would be possible to do on a one touch?
Thanks.

Whne programming this you would need to program a *x (where * equals the * button and the x = the nuber of seconds between 1 and 9).
Do you have the Strata CIX/CTX IPT/DKT user guide? What you are looking for is available in the guide.

I tried using one touch with pauses once to dial VM and then enter security code. Could not get it to work.

What I'm getting is that it dials 500 (pilot DN for VM) then sits there waiting for more digits to be input, without ever doing anything else. Is that what happened with you?

Did you enter the * then the number of seconds to wait? It could be that you programmed too many?

I think you use the * if you are doing the programminging manually from the phone. You may need to use the P if progrmaming via e-manager. The instructions I referenced above was from the user guide which leads me to believe it is being done via the physical phone so using the * plus a number between 1-9 would be how to enter pauses.
Post when you have tried with the results!

Amy et al:
I have tried it from the phone going into programming mode, and get the same results. when I program a speed dial bin to dial 500*2[CODE]*22*2201 (call vm, pause 2, dial code, pause 2, dial 2, pause 2, dial extension # to send msg to) all I get is that it stops/gets stuck after dialing 500. What I'm GUESSING is that since the VM is on an analog port, maybe the CIX is refusing to send it digits...who knows. I did get a workaround, of setting up one one touch to dial 500, and another to dial the rest of the digits needed. However it's just a 20btn for the receptionist so i'd like to recover one of those buttons if I could. Ideas?

Are you trying to have a one touch that dials VM then enters the security code to cut down on what the user had to enter to access VM?
Whay are you access a phantom DN?
Maybe if I undnerstood what you want to do it would make it easier to get it to work.
