Whats the deal with the LVMU? 8 ports, 40 hrs of storage, soft key integration and all for the same price as a 2 port 15 hr IVP8? Has anyone installed one of these yet? Im interested in any feed back as to how it works, voice quality, etc. Hope its all that its cracked up to be, would be good for sales. Also, word has it, there is another new vm in the works comparable to the iES32/16 due out sometime around the first of the year. Any one have any insight on that?

I think your pricing is off a little, there is only a small difference between the List price of the IVP 8 and the LVMU. we will be getting one in soon, will let you know. There is a Micro MAS out now that is comparable to the iES32/16 that comes in IP and analog integration. Be prepared their are several other new products coming out (rumored) last quarter of the year that should be pretty awesome.

Also note that the LVMU may come with only 2 ports. You would add licences to the CIX the same way you add port licences, to increase up to 8 ports.

It does add softkeys, and call recording and monitoring, like the CIX 40 (and the 28 before it). Also, SMDI thru the backplane instead of the BSIS card.

A GVMU won't work in a 100/670. The CIX must be running 4.2 MP024 or higher s/w for the LVMU to work. I have one and it works pretty much exactly as a GVMU does. I think voice quality is pretty good.

I've heard some rumours from Toshiba guys that GVMU works on CTX100/670 on the newer softwares, but haven't had the time to test em out.

There is no way for the GVMU to plug into the CTX100/670. That product is specifically for the CTX28
