Hi All,
I would appreciate if someone could answer the following questions.
Q1: We have 4 CO lines and phones that are assigned one of the following codes in program 48: 004 - (class 2 T.R.) allows local calls and toll free area codes for all 4 lines. 100 - no restriction - allows domestic and international long distance for all 4 lines.
Is it possible for stations that are currently assigned 100 in program 48 (no restriction) to have the following: Line 1 - to allow local calls and toll free area codes only Line 2 - to allow domestic long distance but not international Line 3 and 4 - no restriction
Q2: Is it possible to restict all the phones (or some phones) to not allow operator assistance calls (0 or 00)and directory assistance calls (411, *-555-*)?
Examples will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Q1 can be done with LCR without accessing the line appearances directly. You might want to remove the line appearances so that the user won't get directly on the line to call out and bypass LCR. Q2 is possible with toll restriction.

As for Q1 use 45-2 to disable TR from a CO.
Set up prog 46 to allow your local and toll free only calls
Use 46-10~80 to stop dial 01 calls
Q2 Also use 46-10~80 for your Dial 0 calls and 555 calls.

Q1 can only be accomplished by LCR since you can't apply toll restriction classes to a trunk. You can only apply them to a station. In addition, TR won't route calls out based on what the user dialed. Whereas LCR will give the caller the appropriate trunk depending on what type of call they are making, ie. local, international, toll free, etc. Toll restriction won't do that for you.

Yes, I missed the Line-1 and Line-2 part. LCR would have to do this. You could still use 45-2 to disable toll on 3 and 4. I would also move the unrestricted phones to a class and block dial 01 calls. Then use LCR to route Local + toll free over line 1 and LD out line 2.
