Where can I get ahold of a 1A2 ksu, and cheap (garage sale/eBay cheap)? I've searched google and didn't have a lot of luck. All I found were line cards and sets (I did find one for sale a few months ago, but it was nearly $600). Same thing with eBay. I know nothing about 1A2 systems as they were before my time, but I want to get ahold of one and set it up as a project.

The Mart magazine or Telecom Gear.....
Ive seen them in there for under 100 bucks....Good Luck....
I forgot how to wire a 1a2 years ago....Diode Matrix...Button Buzzer...Melco Intercom.....

Now heres a project.
Get yourself an ITT 512 KSU, Music on hold line cards, a ten button, a six button and a 20 button set w/BLF, mixed ringing, A paging output, Melco handsfree intercom, ( its getting good now) and just for kicks toss in a Northern Telecom Companion Speakerphone on that 10 button!!!
This should tie up all of your free time for a while, and when it's all working you will be A genuine Retro Telecom Genius. Thats if you don't go blind and self flagellate yourself with a 50 pair PVC cable with amps on the end.(:

I don't really NEED this stuff for anything, just for the hell of it. So I got the KSU, no power supply though. Any suggestions?

Will do. I downloaded an install manual, so that gives me a start. When I get the system I'll post the cards it came with and prehaps you could tell me what else I'll need. Never touched a 1A2 system before, so this will be interesting.....

Sure its an ITT 601?? The pictures in the 601 manual and the picture of a 601 at ntcp.com don't look like the ksu I purchased. I'm sure you're right, but just wanna double check. The ITT manual also says that the 601 has an internal power supply, but the pic of the ksu I bought seems to have a cable to plug a power supply into it, rather than plugging the KSU directly into a power outlet.
