Does anyone have a chart on what software levels can be installed on what processors? I couldn't find anything on the Web Knowledgebase.

I have BCTU1A/BEXU1A with R2.1 and would like to upgrade to the latest for that card. I have a BBCU/BECU that someone tried to upgrade to R3.1 from R1 and now it doesn't work at all.

I don't want to smoke a BCTU with 400 ports on it!

I've upgraded several CTX-100's with either the ACTU1 or ACTU2 processors to the latest version of 3.10 mostly without a problem, and several BTCU1A processors to 3.10 also. One of the ACTU1A processors that we upgraded from 1.03 to 3.10MK050 acted a bit wierd with eManager.

All the old CTX100, ACTU1 or 2,and CTX670 BCTU1A processors are supposed to be able to upgrade to 3.XX. Only the new ones can go to 4.XX or 5.XX.

You could try to use the PRG rescue on the dead processor. I recovered a dead CTX100 using that method.

I wasn't too sure about BBCU/BECU, but I was just at a location today that was running 3.10 on that processor. I did not update that one myself. Many in our company use the PR rescue to do regular updates. It goes pretty quick.

You can take a CTX 670 BCTU1A up to 3.1. If you upgrade to BCTU2A, you have to upgrade the BCTU1A to 3.1 first, then swap out the processor. Then you can upgrade the BCTU2a to 5.0.
