Sorry, I may have spoken too soon. Is he quoting the Toshiba Strata MicroMas? That is perfect for your application. Additional features are available by just activating license codes. E-mail me for .pdf describing this product.

The MicroMas is Toshiba's newest windows-based voice-processing product. Although I am Toshiba-biased, check out the various dealers and ask them for demos related to your specific needs. Depending on their technical expertise, they will or will not be able to integrate with turrets and other proprietary finance applications. Just for kicks, I will be the first to admit that without additional knowledge of the finance systems that you plan on implementing and how they integrate with a PBX, I will not be able to fulfill your request with a Toshiba system and provide a demo of a Toshiba system fully integrated with your specific applications. FYI, to demo a Toshiba system with Unified Messaging and all the bells & whistles is not very feasible without a lot of equipment being pulled to the location and adding licenses, which cost money, to your system. Would they be able to take you to an existing customer or to check out their in-house Toshiba system? -Shawn

I'm trying to get something setup with my existing dealer, but they've been slow to respond. We don't necessarilly have financial apps that will tie into the PBX, but a turret might get live pricing feeds from Bloomberg and could display TV I believe.
What do you think about a "Windows" based system stability wise? Do you know what platorm my existing Strategy IVP8 operates on?

First I would like to give my 2cents. I have been using a cix/ctx for 3 to 4 years and had to provide a phone system for a remote site. we decided to give an Avaya system a try. So far it has been a stable system, but in my opinon going from the nice graphical interface of Emanager to the what i can only describe as a dos 5 looking ASA software i did not like it. I have learned alot and find the Avaya having some features that the toshiba does not, but i would live with out them if i had to choose again.
now for the windows based voice mail, we use the IES32 12 port. we have well over 600 stations across 3 nodes using it and has worked just great. I will admit that it did crash on us once and replacing it is not cheap, but the change out and restore was smooth and flawless
