Got a customer with a CIX100 with PRI, fax server with 4 port Brooktrout card is connected to analog extensions on a BSTU. Fax server ports are setup as VM ports to send DID info to the fax server for routing. They also have 2 regular analog fax machines as analog extensions.
All faxes coming in to the analog faxes work fine.
All faxes coming in from an analog fax to the fax server work fine.
All faxes coming in from computers or fax servers to the fax server fail.
I can connect my laptop to an analog port and fax to the fax server's extension - works fine.
From my laptop I can dial 9,xxx-xxxx to the fax server - works fine (this verifies the PRI and CO).
I can move an analog fax machine to one of the fax server's ports and it receives all faxes OK.
Anyone have any ideas? :bang: :bang: :bang:

I have had alot of trouble with pc fax modems and all in one PFC units where they can't always connect to other fax machines, JFAX etc. The only thing I have ever seen that helped was to lock the unit to a certain speed. 9600bps is usually good. Also try setting bearer capability for the fax ports to speech(i know they are supposed to be set to audio) it is worth a try.

Tried locking the ports for maximum speed, even down to 2400, same results. I'll try speech and see what happens.

Not sure if this will help or not.....
Had a issue a while back that had to do with the information being sent to the fax server via the PRI and the analog ports were sending the needed information before the fax server was answering. The administrator to the fax server had to change the answering number of rings and was able to create a default mailbox for everything that was coming over. We were then able to see that they were coming over but the filters/tables weren't getting matched because of missing information.
This wasn't a CTX but was a DK424i with PRI. It was so long ago I'm not sure what was done to get it working right, I'll go back over my notes to see if I documented it. Hope this helps

Tried setting everything to speech, no change. The fax server is set to answer on the first ring.
