This was a brand new system that was sitting in a closet for a while - there was noone in the particular location knowledgeable (or blissfully ignorant) enough to attempt it. It lacked all documentation and software. I'm mainly a computer person, but occasionally such responsibilities fall on my lap, as some small clients cannot afford specialist installers. This was my first experience with a Stratagy CTX/GVMU system.
We had to order the GETS card, and I installed the system replacing an older DK system that lacked voicemail, after scouring the internet for manuals and software. I couldn't get everything, but I did find eManager 4 and Uadmin 2.1.(The dealer who sold the system was of no help - I couldn't even get them to quote a price for the documentation CD).
Everything seems to work OK, and all settings seem to be correct, except for the Direct Transfer to VM. What happens instead is that the system puts the caller on hold, and forgets them there. I suspect something's wrong either with #998's token programming or with a chain. But i'm pretty much speculating here.
Any help would be appreciated. As would be any documentation on Uadmin (I have the Xadmin manual, but it's missing tokens smile among other things).
Thanks in advance,
Perry

Transfer direct to vm from a DKT station is a feature code. If you try to manually do the transfer (CNF#407xxx#) does it work?

What they said.

1. Can you do it manually?

2. Is the VM Data Transfer direct DN the correct pilot DN?

Initialized it's 220

Thanx for the replies.
It doesn't work manually either, the caller is left on hold (they hear the external moh), this happens almost immediately.
The VM DN is 220 (default). I looked at pgm 579 closely when I installed the system, I think I did everything right. I will check it again as per your suggestions.

Also in the GVMU in Stratagy System Configuration, that the smdi_base_port matches the first vm port.

Problem resolved. I looked up program 579 as suggested and to my embarrassment it was not set up. For what it's worth, so was program 580. I must have neglected to click "submit" at the appropriate emanager windows when I was installing the system. After I filled in the proper settings everything was fine.
Thanks everybody for your inputs.
