has anyone ever done PRI card upgrade in DK424?

My Toshiba certified Vendor has been trying to do this for the last 1 week and can't do it.

They are having bad chips issue that are sent to them by Toshiba 2ice.

These chips goes into CO card to bring it to 4.3 level from 4.0.

anyone with clues...This project has costed us 1000's of dollars with no result.

I would think that if hes certified, he would have called tech support by now.

I did one about 5 years ago and don't remember much...............

As Voyager... I did one years ago too, but I don't recall any particular details of it, which must mean it went smooth!

In what ways is it costing you? (i.e. - lost calls, dealer charging for unproductive time, etc.)

Are you able to provide more details about it... what brought about the upgrade, what the reasons are that they can't do it, why they haven't resolved it, etc.

Thanks

Toshiba has stopped support on the 424. The proper upgrade would have been to migrate to the CIX. I'm sorry to hear that you have a lot of lost time on this but even the 4.3 software is outdated compared to the CIX.

yea definitly not worth the time or money, go for a cix upgrade..

im guessing they offerd a cix upgrade and price was a factor...

with no tech support it can be difficult,

they should do a backup with dki admin and an upgrade to the processor with the new chips. not just an upload...

It has been several weeks and several attempts from Vendor to get this done but no result. Yes each time phone are down we lost productivity, sales calls. It cost us money.

Finally, they come up with great excuse that Tosiba just told them LOT/Batch was manufacture all have wrong software burned on it, therefore CO didn't accept the chip and gave static everytime the put those new chips.

Toshiab promised to make new chips , test it and then send it to the Vendor and then they will do the upgrade.

and Yes , they have recommended STRATA MEDIA APPLICATION SERVER with TASKE. BUT PRI WAS required according to Vendor, and PRI will not work with 4.0 therefore 4.3 upgraded is required.

They also want to change AVT Voice mail to some new Voice mail system , which i forgot the name.

I wish I can change my Vendor. But I haven't got any response from VAR network for TOSHIA VENDORS in Michigan.

any help will be appreciated...

The MAS does not work with the 424. I would not recommend adding new Toshiba equipment or products to the aged 424 because the new stuff is designed for the CIX.

The are suggesting, changing the cabinet, adding some cards, adding PRI card. This will get them ready for MAS.

I think they are trying to bring this to CIX level.

I needed the did's and reporting with minimum cost. They suggested to upgrade to PRI. So, now they are doing PRI and 4.3 was required. Once this upgrade is done. They will do the next upgrade which will be in April. They will upgrade to CIX 670 Cabinet and Processor. This will allow them to use MAS.

I don't know why they prefered MAS because they told me IES16 is an option.

I don't have information on MAS and what it can do not do I know What is IES16 can do. I don't know what CIx 670 will do alone if I decided not to upgrade MAS and keep my AVT OS/WRAP.

I don't know what is out there that is best for our business.

Please help

They got me Call Accounting for reporting, which I am trying to learn right now. They want to to purchase TASKE if we go with MAS.
