I'm not sure that's a good idea. What if someone is calling voicemail to check their messages and instead gets the overflow? If the number of ports is insufficient, I'd recommend increasing the number of vm ports.

Actually, it is for outside callers. We are not concerned right now about internal people checking voice mail.

So when 5th caller hit the port we want on RING NO ANWER VIA PRI DNIS ...

I hope this help!!

Thank for your help in that!!!

Is this a CTX/CIX? If so,

I have never tried this, I don't see why it would not work. Create a Multi Ring Group. Set it up to ring the Voice Mail Hunt group IMM, then set a 10 sec delay to yur back up phones.

Then goto your trunks and assign them to ring the new multi ring group.

Never mind, Just noticed you said DK242. You could hunt over to other phones, but like phonemeister said, not sure that would be the best idea.

Wait a sec here guys?????? The outside caller would not get a busy if the voicemail ports are in use, if they have a line 5 it would ring no answer, I am betting they have a 4 line rotary group and 5th caller gets busy from the LEC.

SSPhone, it sounds like they have a PRI, since the OP referenced PRI/DNIS.

I would suggest upgrading the amount of VM ports too.

You could probably have the DID ring the 1st VM port and manually FWD each port, with the last FWD to a DN... but I wouldn't suggest doing it either. Do you currently have a DID going to a PilotDN, for a distributed hunt group (i.e. - 900)?

SSPhone is absolutelly right. If VM ports are busy caller must have RNA on fifth call but it is not a PRI. Customer is confused. They have 5 or more POTS which is are having Broken Hunt or only 4 in Hunting Group.

Sounds like we need clarification on the system set-up from Cashif.

1. What type of service do you have (Copper/POTS, T-1/PRI, etc.)?

2. If POTS, then how many total and how many in the hunt group(s)?

Thanks Cashif laugh

Sorry, for delay response.

WE have AVT XPress which has a 4 ports card. First 4 calls comes in get answered by automated attedent or maybe someone checking their voice mail will get the Voice mail port buys.

We have CISCO IAD from XO communication. We have 12 channel PRI, so calls that are coming are not getting busy but ring ring ring until the PORT on AVT(auto attendent is available to take that call). 4 ports get busy so quick now since we get this PRI.

There are no POTS lines.

I am so confused.
I thought it would be something simple in DK424 to create a Phantom and put that phantom on lets say 3 peoples phone. Whenever all ports are busy on AVT and 5 call come in , it would just forward to PHANTOM extension inseted VOICE MAIL PORT 550. All those 3 phones will ring and ring and ring until call is answered.

I need some help here folks..

I started the Upgrade project on my DK424 to add just a PRI card and switch a phone company from AT&T pots to XO communication FLEX-PRI and now I am in a greater mess. This whole project took 3 months. We still have not resolved all the issues.

How do I get in touch with TOSHIBA Dealers in Detroit Metro, Michigan area to do RFP for upgrading a TOSHIBA CIX MAS and what not or maybe complete through away all togather Toshiba and get something new and better.

I don't know. I am so frustrated with my Tosiba Dealer.

We need help from someone to evluate our current communication enviroment and assist us selecting a new phone system.

I have had several post here about upgrading Toshiba.

I will really appreciate all the help ... Thanks

Cashif
