I have a DK8 installed with a courtesy phone (digital single line dk2001)and I need to know how to toll restrict the phone to local calls only plus toll free numbers. Is this possible on this system?
I have tried several combinations of programs including setting exception tables in prog 47, and digit restriction in prog 48 but can't seem to get the right combination. I succeeded in restricting the phone altogether, but it would not allow local calling.
FYI - the phone is on port 04 and I only need to restrict it to local 10 digit dialing (we have 2 area codes valid here, 303 and 720), plus the customer wants to allow toll free dialing, 800, 877, 866.
Thanks in advance to whomever can solve this riddle. I have consulted with long time Toshiba "experts", but their memories are weak. LOL
Help! Anyone?

Let me try but I am not familiar with your outgoing numbers so, we'll just talk about the Digit restriction theory as this is what I normally do:
In program 46, you can assign the first 3-digit of the outgoing number into a class which you can then assign the class in Program 48 to port 04.
So, lets say you want to assign numbers 303 and 720 to an empty class, say, Class 4. Check with Program 48 to see if any Digital ports have been assigned this code (Code 16). If not, then Class 4 can be used. In program 46, enter code 43 with data 000-999 to empty the table. Then use code 42 to add 303, 402, 800, 877 and 866 (i.e. 303#402#800#877#866 HOLD, if I am not mistaken). Now, class 4 allows numbers that starts with 303, 402, 800, 877 and 866.
I have not used Program 47 nor the 46-10, 20, 30, 40 although the manual made it very interesting. So you might have to read it to see if it suits your purpose.

Thanks. One question? why would I input 402? Is that a typo where you meant 720? Also, will this setup prevent a 0 as the first digit in a call? Such as an international call attempt.
Do you need to setup to prevent 0 or 1 as the first digit? If so, how does that affect the allowed 1 + 800 calls?
This toll restriction is very confusing on this system. LOL
Thanks again for the help.
