Hi guys, I searched could not find an answer, hopefully someone has run into this before.

I have two 2020-SD phones with HHEUs installed and am using a M12 Plantronics amp. The setup worked as designed.

The problem we are having is concerning the incoming ring, ringing in the headset ear of the M12. If it was just the phone without headset, pressing the Redial and Volâ–¼ turns off the inbound CO line ring.

This is not the case when using the M12, the inbound CO ring is present and I have not figured out how to turn it off. Is there a way to disable the inbound ring in the earpiece? I don't want to disable inbound ringing on the phone if possible, just the inbound in the earpiece of the plantronics headset.

I hope this makes sense, thanks for your help.

Chris

When you installed them did you clip the strap?

Hi and thanks for the response. I did not clip anything. Are you talking about clipping the strap on the HHEU or M12? Will clipping the strap change the inbound ringing?

The HHEU has a little white wire loop/strap on it. Cut that and you'll be good to go.

Hi guys, thanks for all of the help so far, The HHEU had a blue wire on the back side but no white loop. There was a switch on the HHEU that was labelled Headset, I tried that switch in both positions, but it did not make any changes.

Clarification, the inbound ringing in the ear is only when the user is on a different CO talking with a client and the incoming call rings in. The ring is very loud and annoying, is there a way to remove this ringing within programming?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi,

System is DK424 C/D processor. I do not happen on the DKT2020-SD, unless i turn it on with the Redial and Volâ–² keys. I can control it on the handset just fine, but the HHEU appears to have a mind of its own.

Thanks,
Chris
