Has anyone else had trouble installing Network emanager 5.20 on their PC? I keep getting stuck at a point where it fails because the PC needs to be removed from the domain or because previously installed WinAdmin needs to be removed.
I removed WinAdmin and the PC is off the domain. :bang:
What gives?

Well this old can of worms agian...
I went through the exact same process with tech support and they had to rmote into my Toshiba laptop to remove all the WinAdmin files manually.
I now have NeMgr installed and working fine on this Toshiba, as well as via Paralells on my Macbook 2.4GHz with no problems at all.
It took tech support about an hour to remove everything that was WinAdmin related, but it is well worth the call.
Also, just by chance... does this happen to be a Dell? If so good luck, as I've never had an install go well with a newer Dell desktop... laptops fine, go figure?!

It's a Dell laptop. With the help of some other techs, I got it to go beyond the checker program, but now it fails on error 1722. I think it has something to do with Java.
I give up for tonight...

Hey first post here! Searched for my issue and found this post to be close to my issue. I'm trying to install network emanager 5.10A17 on Sony Vaio. I get the fatal error 1603. Tried to view the issue on msdn forums and found the three issues listed there. I am installing on vista ultimate.
My drive that I am installing to is not encrypted, not a substitute, and also I believe that I have full control for my SYSTEM user. I don't have any inherited permissions on that user and it does not have the options listed for editing permissions that the ms knowledge base lists becuase those are for win2k and xp. Any help would be appreciated.
THanks for having me!
You may receive this error message if any one of the following conditions is true: The folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to is encrypted. The drive that contains the folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to is accessed as a substitute drive. The SYSTEM account does not have Full Control permissions on the folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to. You notice the error message because the Windows Installer service uses the SYSTEM account to install software. Back to the top

Hello hillbilly and welcome to the forum!
If you could start a new thread, with this topic, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
