I tried eManager 4 and eManager 5 and can not get the CIX to do a backup.
I've tried re-formatting and unmounting/mounting SM/SD card.
Still no luck!
When attempting, it shows five green bars, then it displays a red 'FAILED'.
The software is currently on: CIX100 : ACTU AR4.10 MN017.00.
Thank you in advanced!

Does it work when you do it manually through the phone? Can you read and write to the card with your PC and a smart media card reader?

In order, have you done :
1. A F.F.? 2. Waited until N.E.? 3. Data Backup?
Secondly, What Voyager asked -> Can you read and write to the card with your PC and a smart media card reader?
Thirdly, have you backed up this system successfully before?

Try to force format the card first. Maybe it has never been formatted.

The card is formatted, and I'm able to read and write to it from a card reader.
What do A.F.F. and N.E. stand for?

Remove the default.dat file from the PROGDATA folder. I would save it somewhere, not just delete it, just in case. Then try the back-up again.

In response to RRino, after you Force Format, all is erased, so there is no default.dat present.
Also, can I do this manually via keypress programming, will that make a difference?

Yes you can do it by key presses. It is progam 910 FB01. Do you know how to get into programming mode via a phone? You can find it in the manual.
