Hi There Experts:
So, the background first, I am the psuedo phone guy for a ReUse and Recycling Non-Profit here in Eugene, OR. We collect lots of different hardware from a variety of places, amongst the stuff we get, we try to refurbish and resell it (and some times use it in house also).
We have in house a DK424, which we use for our phone system, we are having some minor issues with an external PC Based VM System and want to move to a Contact-DK Card. We have 4 chassis and lots of Cards! I have enough cards and phones to build a dev/test system, which is what I am working with right now.
The Primary issue is that we can not get ANY Station to Station or Station to VM DTMF!! This issue happens on both our Production DK424 and the Dev/Test Platform.
If I call in on a CO line and transfer to VM, I get DTMF, if I call out to an outside line, I get DTMF, just not Station to Station
I have multiple RRCS1A-4 boards, and I have swapped them based on the belief that one might be bad, but stilll no DTMF, do I have the wrong Daughter board? Here is the Contents & Programming
DK424 - R11: RCTUC3 / RRCS1A-4 Daughter Board - Confirmed MBJU1 Jumper Board is Located between R11/RCTU Slots RCTU: RCTUD4 S11: PDKU2 S12: Empty S13: Contact-DK S14: Empty S15: RCOU1A V.1A S16: Empty
I have Program 03 set as follows: Program 03: 00 - 93 01 - 91 11 - 64 (as per Contact-DK Manual) 12 - 00 13 - 31 14 - 00 15 - 17
Program 10-2: LED 11 is OFF
Thanks for helping out

The Strata DK will not out pulse DTMF to any station to station call UNLESS you assign the receiving station at a voicemail port.
Check Program 30 or 31 and make sure the answering ports are assigned to a voicemail group (dont use the same group as your current voicemail)
That should fix it.

End to end signaling in prog 31 must be on for all vm ports. Also, a 4-ckt dtmf is code 92 not 93.

Guys, Thanks for the quick reply.
First, I have tried both Code 92 and 93 for Program 03 / Slot 00 with no change. I thought I needed to use 93 because the Contact-DK VM Card is an 8 port card. Does Slot 01 also need to be set to 92/93 or does it remain default (91)?
Also, I forgot to mention that on the Dev/Test Platform I have run program 91-9 twice to re-initialize, so everything is default except at recommended by the Contact-DK Install Manual.
The Software Version from Program 00-0 is RCA4X2N
Program 30 is default for the VM ports 208*215, with LEDs 01, 05, and 07 lit.
Program 31 has the default 11, 12 and 13 lit and then I activated 04, 05, 09, 15 - 20 for ports 208*215 based on the Contact-DK Install Manual. Ports 200*207 have the default 11,12 and 13 lit, do they any additional Services?
I also confirmed *34 Ports 208*215 (vm ports) LED 01 is OFF.
I have NOT set any of the Distributive Hunt Groups or Station Hunting in Programs *04, 33 or *40 yet, because I wanted to be sure everything else worked first.
Still no DTMF!
I welcome all suggestions and advice, thanks again!

DK isn't my strong suite, but don't you need a speed dial key programmmed on the phone or DTMF won't work, or is it just the * key won't work? I was just at a place where they could not log into their mailbox from a phone until I added a speed dial key.

After changing any hardware configuration, be sure to run program 91-2 to transfer the changes into working memory. Dwight Jones Exordium Consulting, LLC www.exordium.net

Dwight, I have been turning the power off for 5 seconds, which I understand should accomplish the same thing.
While stumbling around the programming, I make have uncovered something additional. I have DKT-2020-SD Digital Handsets, when I look at Program 38 it is setup with the Default of 31, when I then look at Program 39, it has Button 20 as Flash/MW not Speed Dial. Based on Program 38, I would have expected Speed dial there for the Digital Telephone.
I have confirmed that I have 61 in Slot 11 which is a PDKU.
How do I verify to the DK424 that I have Digital Handsets, not Electronic handsets?? (Is this part of the problem?)
Thanks for the suggestions so far!

PDKU cards only work with digital phones. DKT-2020SD is a (D)igital (K)ey (T)elephone series 2000(20) twenty button(20) speakerphone(S) display(D) which equals= DKT-2020SD

When you call the Contact does it answer? can you dial a * or # or any digit? If you pull the Contact DK out and replace it with a RSTU card (single line) then try to call the extensions of that the Contact was.
