Hi everyone,

I've got a CIX 670 and two other remote CIX40's with a PRI that I'm using some DID's on. I had posted awhile back about a weird one way audio problem when I assigned DID's to the remote CIX 40 phones, but now I'm getting something that just began happening, which is no ringing when dialing any Direct inward dial number, even the ones directed at extensions that were not having the one way audio problem. The calls work fine one someone answers, but the caller hears no ringing after dialing.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to bite the bullet and have my firmware upgraded on my IPU's but it seems funny that it just all of the sudden occurred.

Is there a way I can "reset" my IPU's? I had rebooted the phone system itself on Friday, but that didn't seem to help.

Thanks in advance for any advice. I do understand upgrading the firmware is an option, it just sucks cause I gotta have someone come out and do it, and pay for it.

Just to clarify... the caller is not getting a ring back tone, when they dial a DID?

Strangely enough...I've resolved this one.

Under 302 for the ISDN PRI number 25 controls the RBT on incoming calls. It was enabled, so I disabled it to see what would happen and to my surprise it worked!

I enabled it again just to be sure and sure enough the ring back tone was gone. Disabled it and bam, back in business. Strange...I don't remember changing that option, ever.

Haha, well glad you found it out. I was just coming here to tell you to check 302-25. Thanks for the update!
