Dial 0 tells callers its busy after X amout of rings. 0 rings phdn 500 and i have 500 on DN's 200 and 201 (the front desk) if both users on on the phone and another caller dials 0 are if they dont answer it in time it tells callers to hit # to hold are dial another ext. after it says that user is busy.
I'm sure it's just a simple setting im missing but it's seems to just be one of those little things i cant find. Thanks in advance for the help.

I take it that you are dialling 0 whilst in the auto att, you need to see what greeting is being played at the time, then in groups and chains see what 0 is pointed to then check that mailbox to see what is in the extn field and make sure it is. I would expect to see something like @f-500-h with dnd on

You can also disable the "press # to hold " in system config. set cancel_busy_hold to true

i will check that on monday steve, and 0 points to 500 off of box 991. 500 is on ext's 200,201 so when someone hits 0 it rings on each phone, now if it works like the IVP8 it should not go to either 200 are 201's box because they are both ringing. it that true?
i will check out the settings and go into the GVMU's config and change the press # to hold.
i also have a couple of other posts about the same system so thanks for the info in this post and the others!!!

Remove the 500 from the 0 option in 991. Put 500H in the extension field of MB 0. Then set MB500 to NOT record msgs and set copy to 200.
This way the caller hears the 500 greeting and the msg is stored in MB200.
I've done this for a long time and it works great.
